RARE Ben Dye Bluebill decoy repainted by Capt. Will Corwin from Belleport, Long Island. Tag says from the "Pop (Poplar) Is. Gun Club". Corwin used to guide at the Jefferson Island Gunning Club and was best friends with George Bailey who owned the club in the 1950s. Jefferson Island is right next to Poplar Isalnd. The picture is of Capt. Will with a very young Hugh Bailey (George's son). Decoy is in very good condition. The repaint is fancy like many of Corwin's decoys. Neck has a typical crack and there is some old overpaint on the bottom.
